Sao Paulo sign Newton from Botafogo until 2029

Sao Paulo have signed midfielder Newton from Botafogo on a contract running until 2029. The transfer involves a €3m valuation, with no immediate payments required as the debt will be offset by the potential permanent transfer of N. Ferraresi to the Rio club. Newton has already completed his medicals and joins as a priority signing for manager Dorival Júnior.(ge)
